Nasturtium Harvest
I was walking through Tower Grove Park the other day and could not believe my eyes when I saw this beautiful and healthy nasturtium patch. So I just went back today and grabbed enough to add to a salad. It's located near the circle in the middle of the park near one of the little ponds and bamboo patch. I picked about 10 small leaves. Nasturtium has a peppery flavor and can be used in salads and vinegars. Both the rounded green leaves and the festive flowers are edible.
I found a website with some good looking recipes using nasturtiums, but as for me, I'm just gonna throw them in a salad with arugula and strawberries.
COOL!!! Happy blog initiation!
